the bananas' place - part II

DAY 2

The second day pretended to be a long and intense one, and finally... it was.

We spent the morning through the dunes of Maspalomas, enjoying that kind of small desert in the south of Gran Canaria. You'll see below a pretty flower in my hair, its vivid colour makes people think that is fake but, it isn't! In that island you can find plenty of flowers in the street, whether in private gardens or in the public road. That's one of the attractives that has fascinated me the most: its vegetation.

We were lucky that our apartment was near this beach and we could have lunch there. As I previously said, the day was full of activities so, we did not stop and we headed down to Tasarte's beach. While doing so, we noticed that the way was much more tedious than we imagined. The hilly part of the island is not easily accesible but, finally, the peace out there worth it.
